He pursued higher education at Dr. Agust\u00edn Stahl School, located in downtown Bayam\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;Junior,&#8221; as Representative Luis P\u00e9rez Ortiz is affectionately called, began working without completely leaving his studies behind. Whenever he had the opportunity, he took short courses in Business Administration. In 1978, he got married and has three children.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The Representative worked for more than 12 years in several private companies, including Belh Lindsey, Almacenes Gonzalo Rivera e Hijos, and Holsum Bakers of Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n\n<p>In 1985, he began his duties in the Bayam\u00f3n Municipal Administration as a Civil Defense Plans Officer. Later, he was promoted to the position of Director of the Tom\u00e1s Kuilan Public Transportation Terminal in Bayam\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n<p>In September 1987, he took full charge of the Municipal Civil Defense.
