Lebr\u00f3n Rodr\u00edguez was born on July 24, 1981, in the city of Bayam\u00f3n. She began her educational journey in Puerto Rico\u2019s public school system, attending Diego de Torres Vargas and Jes\u00fas S\u00e1nchez Erazo schools. She graduated from the twelfth grade at Agust\u00edn Sthal High School, in her hometown known as the \u201cCity of Chicharr\u00f3n.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n<p>She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences, with a concentration in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico, R\u00edo Piedras Campus. She also earned a Master\u2019s degree in Criminal Justice from the Interamerican University, Metropolitan Campus. <\/p>\n\n<p>Her passion is to serve, so her professional career has been focused on that aspect. She has served as Director of the Government Commission of the Senate of Puerto Rico. She was also the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Legislature of Guaynabo. Her work and attention to detail propelled her to become Vice President of the Municipal Legislature of Bayam\u00f3n.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Lebr\u00f3n Rodr\u00edguez was sworn in on October 23, 2014, as Representative for District 8 of Bayam\u00f3n, becoming the first woman to hold that position. She was re-elected to her seat in the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico during the 2016 and 2020 general elections. <\/p>\n\n<p>Among the laws she authored and that were approved are Law No. 129 of August 16, 2020, better known as the \u2018New Condominium Law of Puerto Rico\u2019; Law 8-2018, the \u2018Access Control Law of 1987\u2019; Law 116-2017, which empowers the Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs to create a conflict mediation program; and Law 9-2018, which prohibits any business from calculating a tip to be voluntarily given by a customer based on the total transaction price including Sales and Use Tax, among others.<\/p>\n\n<p>On November 5, 2024, she was elected Representative for District Number 8.
